MyShortlist number in cart was created by Julie
Hi, can you please describe how to achieve the cart icon (with the number of shortlist items) in the Joomla menu, as shown on your MyShortlist demo. See attached image. What are the settings? Exactly how to replicate it?

Thanks

Hello Julie and thank you for posting.

When you create or edit a MyShortlist module, you can select the Module mode in the main Options tab.
You can set the Module mode to "As Cart with List" and it will automatically turn it to the cart icon with the item badge and the dropdown list.
You can even change the icon in the Advanced tab, using the following two options: "Custom Cart Icon Class" and "Custom Cart Close Icon Class".

Let me know if you need more help!

Hi Christopher,  I created a module (Extensions > Modules) and chose the Cart and then assigned it to my menu position - that worked great and now I have a shopping cart.

Still confused though... how do I change the icon from a shopping cart to my image?  I'm not sure how the "Custom Cart Icon Class" works. Is there an example?

thanks :)

Sure! I'll gladly explain.

MyShortlist uses FontAwesome for the cart icon. By default, that means that it has the class fas fa-shopping-cart.
You can change that to whatever you find in the FontAwesome gallery .
For example, fas fa-bookmark or fas fa-shopping-basket!
You can also choose a different icon when the cart dropdown is open, by writing a different class in the "Custom Cart Close Icon Class" option.
I hope this makes sense!

Thanks again for posting.
