Is there a manual way to purge the sending logs?

4 weeks 21 hours ago #1 by Mary
Hi Christopher, I've read the discussion in this thread: https://mavrosxristoforos.com/support/forums/nspro-suggestions-and-general-discussion/282-how-to-configure-cron-job-for-self-directed-automation  and downloaded the nspro_trigger_for_clients.zip file. We have inconsistent results trying to use cron on our server, so I'd prefer to be able to run a script that manually deletes the sending logs. Right now it take 90 seconds to load the Newsletters page in the back-end and it's taking forever to send just 1500 newsletters. I am hoping that clearing some of the recorded data like Sending logs will speed up the user interface.

Should we also be clearing the "recipients" section to speed things up? If so, how do we do that?

Hello Mary and thank you for posting.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. A combination of factors may add up to slow down the performance of NS Pro.
We have noticed that a switch from MyISAM to InnoDB as the database engine for the NS Pro tables is the most helpful solution.
I have included a piece of code that does this automatically in the latest version of NS Pro, but that is not yet released.
If you want to receive this version before it is released, let me know.

In order to manually switch NS Pro tables from MyISAM to InnoDB, you can do so from your phpMyAdmin, but make sure to keep a backup beforehand.

Regarding a manual purging of the sending log, this is currently not possible, but if you require it, we can add a button in the toolkit.
