Having the page title as subject? was created by Frederic
Hi!
Trying to add the page title either as subject, as a field or secret field (actually don't want it to be edited) and failing miserably. I've entered #ITEM_TITLE# many times without success.
Any tip?
Thank you.

Hello Frederic and thank you for posting!
The #ITEM_TITLE# value works only for Joomla articles when the form appears in an article page as a module.
As far as I understand you are trying to get the document title, the one that appears in the browser tab?
We could add a special value for that as well.
Let me know.

Actually we have about 90 pages/products and we would like to have that product name/page title as the subject so we know exactly (and easily for the visitor) what product the person on the site is asking about.
Right now the form is in a bottom section of the site. Adding it in the article indeed forces us to edit 90 pages. Do you have any other suggestion?
Another option we're looking at is having different destination email addresses either by product families or... but that's also a very manual editing action.
Else sure, it would definitely be a nice thing to have!
Thank you for offering

Actually I got further information and we only have 5 different contacts. So I'll do 5 forms and split them over the various category without specific title. That should work fine I think.
Thank you again.

First of all let me clarify that the form does not need to be INSIDE the article content, but somewhere on the single article page, for the #ITEM_TITLE# value to work.
In fact, it is not recommended to include dynamic content like forms inside articles, because the latter are considered as static content and cached when site cache is enabled.
As an alternative, #PAGE_URL# can be used to include the current page URL, which serves your purpose well and is already included.
Nonetheless, I also just included another special value, #DOCUMENT_TITLE# which includes the current page title on all pages, but this will be included in the next release.
Contact me if you need it earlier than that.
Thanks again!
