Overrides not working

Overrides not working was created by Matthias
Hi there

I bought the extension and now I want to use it in a website. However, I need a template override of Simple Quiz. I have now created overrides via the template. However, the override files do not work - the original files are always used.

What do I have to do to work with overrides?

Best regards

Brinkley

Hello Brinkley and thank you very much for posting on our forum.

Would you like to tell me: What exactly are you trying to override in SimpleQuiz?
Most of the content shown in the end quiz page is configured in the back-end and doesn't require an override.

Could you please let me know what exactly is it that you would like to override?
Thanks again.

Hello Christopher

Please excuse the late answer and thank you for your question. What we would like to change is that the results open in a lightbox or at an anchor.

Background is the following: We use the quizzes as modules in pages that are relatively large. When someone answers a quiz and wants to see the results, it reloads the page and the browser jumps to the top of the page. If the user does not scroll, he does not see the results.

The second point is: Currently it is not possible to display and answer two quizes on one page. Here too we are looking for a solution.

Do you have any tips for us?

Best regards,

Brinkley

Hi again Brinkley. I apologize for the late response.

I have been working on this. I have improved clustering in the quiz layout, so that it is easier for you to create template overrides, and I have also fixed the issue where the module did not load the override of the layout.

I have implemented a few more fixes and features and released an update just now.
I will continue working to resolve the issue that two quizzes cannot be shown on the same page and I will let you know.
Thanks again.

Hello Christopher

Thanks for the adjustments - the overrides are working now. Thanks!

I am looking forward to hearing more from you.

But with the update came a new problem that I can't solve. On all quizzes I get the message "Please write your name". Do you have any idea what this is due to?

Greetings

Brinkley

I just released another version, because I hadn't finished the separating of instances.
You can now use any number of SimpleQuiz instances on the same page!

Please let me know if that also fixes the error you mentioned.
If not, please make sure that Name Required is set to No in your Component Options, or set the Show User Details Fieldset of the quiz to Yes.

Thanks again!
