Getting Started

If there is a simple how-to on this, please just post the link, the instructions I saw lost me. I downloaded and installed the SimpleQuiz, made my first quiz with question and answers. Made a module for the quiz along with a new position name but cannot seem to get it to appear. What I would like to do is have an unpublished list of all the quizzes (say 10 of them for starters), link to a specific quiz with the same "opening page" for all quizzes. Could you provide a step-by-step instruction on how to do this? I am using Joomla 4 and it is on a localhost (on my computer). I have a feeling this is not difficult, just a learning curve. Thanks for any help.

Hello Deborah and thank you very much for your purchase.

You do not need a module, or a custom position to present SimpleQuiz quizzes. After creating your first quiz with questions, you can create a menu item for it, either visible or hidden.
You can also create a menu item for the quiz list, if you wish. Here's the demo quiz list . Here's a direct link to a menu item with a quiz .

At the moment, there's a quiz pre-text that you can use to create something like an opening page for each quiz, but the first question will appear below. We could adjust that if necessary.
Otherwise, you may create an article that points to the quiz, but I understand that's too much work for 100 quizzes.

Thanks again.

Thank you--I had mis-read the instructions and have now been able to see a list of quizzes and linked one to the first article. I will see how the rest go. For some reason, when I linked, it would not open without the full url but that "could" be because I'm using MAMP and am on localhost. If you know the answer, please advise. Otherwise, will just wait until I get closer to completion.

Thank you Deborah for your response.

I'm not sure what you mean by full URL, but I'm guessing you mean the asbolute URL, including your host name.
This may indeed happen because you are using MAMP, and your Joomla installation may be in a subdirectory, while your template doesn't include a base meta element, so it may skip some parts of the URL.
Example:
localhost/joomla/quiz may become localhost/quiz.

Let me know if you need any further assistance!

That is correct--re: the absolute URL. I would like to have an "opening" page that would be on each and every quiz but I am not going to be concerned about that until I am closer to getting everything on. So far, I REALLY like the SimpleQuiz; it's easier than the last one I used even (except for having to re-enter all 103 quizzes to be exact

). I will get back to you once it is online (perhaps not for quite awhile yet).
